Rejuvenate, Revitalize and Optimize your well-being with our Men's Health Transform and Gain (TAG) Program

Our personalized approach not only addresses hormonal imbalances but also offers a spectrum of benefits. Unlock the full potential of your health by reclaiming energy, focus, and performance. Take a proactive approach and seize control of your health to ensure you have the energy and stamina needed to pursue the life you deserve. Hormone levels undergo fluctuations throughout your life, influenced by factors like stress, antibiotic use, diet, exposure to environmental toxins, and insufficient vitamin intake. Both the aging process and these external factors play a role in affecting hormone production. Recognizing and managing these influences are essential for maintaining a healthy hormonal balance. Our dedicated platform focuses on three key elements of men’s health: Testosterone Deficiency, Erectile Dysfunction (ED), and Premature Ejaculation (PE). Recognizing the importance of these conditions, we strive to offer accurate information and effective strategies for a healthier and more fulfilling life. In addition to these primary services, our comprehensive Men’s Health offerings encompass medical weight loss management, performance optimization, and Peptide Therapies. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you on your journey to optimal health.

The More You Know: Insights into Men's Health

Testosterone Deficiency (Low T)

Testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, mainly produced in the testicles’ Leydig cells, is crucial for male functions like muscle mass, bone density, energy, and sexual function. Testosterone deficiency, known as male hypogonadism, androgen deficiency or low T, can arise from: primary hypogonadism, stemming from testicular issues; secondary hypogonadism, caused by brain signal problems affecting testosterone production; and the less common tertiary hypogonadism (hypothalamic hypogonadism), where the hypothalamus inadequately produces gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Low T can lead to various adverse signs and symptoms including:

  • Fatigue
  • Decreased sex drive or inability to reach orgasm
  • Heart disease
  • Indecisiveness or hesitancy
  • Muscle loss
  • Mood swings
  • Decreased bone density
  • Increased risk of prostate cancer
  • Difficulties with concentration and memory
  • Excess abdominal fat
  • Decreased work performance
  • Decreased “enjoyment in life”
  • Enlarged male breast tissue (gynecomastia)

If you’re noticing changes in energy and strength, getting tested at TAG Family NP is crucial. We specialize in Testosterone Optimization Therapy (TOT) to address your symptoms, using a functional medicine approach. A trained TOT provider is essential. Regular blood tests and open patient communication are crucial for achieving and maintaining optimal hormonal balance. Many men benefit from Testosterone Replacement Therapy, which can enhance mental sharpness, alertness, energy levels, and sexual function. Achieving optimal hormonal balance might take time for some individuals, see the list below.

A study in 2011 titled “Onset of Effects of Testosterone Treatment and Time Span Until Maximum Effects Are Achieved” revealed:

  • Sexual Interest: Noticeable in 3 weeks, plateauing at 6 weeks.
  • Erections/Ejaculations: Changes can take up to 6 months.
  • Quality of Life: Improvements in 3-4 weeks, peaking at 18-30 weeks.
  • Erythropoiesis (Red Blood Cell Count): Increases after 3 months, peaks at 9-12 months.
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) and Volume: Marginal rise stabilizes at 12 months.
  • Lipid Levels: Altered after 4 weeks, with max impact in 6-12 months.
  • Insulin Sensitivity: Improvements within a few days, noticeable glycemic control effects in 3-12 months.
  • Body Composition (Lean Mass, Fat Mass, Muscle Strength): Changes in 12-16 weeks, stabilization at 6-12 months, with marginal improvement over the years.
  • Inflammation: Visible effects in 3-12 weeks.
  • Bone Mineral Density: Detectable improvement after 6 months, with ongoing effects for at least 3 years.

Don’t let Low T define your experience! Sign up for your DISCOVERY call, and our nurse practitioner will be ready to discuss how testosterone replacement therapy can help you regain the energy, motivation, sex drive, and overall quality of life you deserve.
